Qualifications:
- Current Nevada Special Education Teaching License (required)
- Experience supporting children with Autism and high-needs populations preferred
- Commitment to adapting and innovating in a high-needs setting
- Strong communication skills and collaborative spirit
Responsibilities:
- Lead a self-contained classroom (elementary or middle school) with a capped caseload of 13 students, hosting up to 8–10 students at a time
- Develop and deliver specialized lesson plans tailored to each student’s IEP
- Partner closely with paraprofessionals and aides in daily classroom activities
- Support students’ participation in specials alongside their assigned aides
- Create a nurturing, structured environment that fosters independence and skill-building
