Qualifications & Required Experience:
- Active Kansas teaching license in Special Education for the designated grade level (must be secured prior to district submission)
- Expertise in at least one of the following: life skills instruction, supporting children on the autism spectrum, or managing behavioral/alternative classroom environments
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Experience in K-12 special education settings preferred
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to diverse learning and behavioral needs
- Foster positive, supportive, and structured classroom environments
- Work closely with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and families
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed
- Support inclusion and meet compliance requirements set by state and federal regulations
