Ideal candidates possess K–12 Special Education certification, which allows flexibility, though your specialized skills will be matched with students at the learning level where you shine brightest. Previous experience as a special education teacher or case manager is strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of up to 70 elementary students, ensuring quality support for each learner
- Develop, write, and maintain Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Lead virtual IEP meetings and facilitate productive discussions with families and school teams
- Monitor, track, and report student progress
- Collaborate closely with educators and administrators to ensure compliance with all district and state special education regulations
- Provide expertise and virtual support to ensure full implementation of accommodations, modifications, and intervention strategies
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current K–12 Special Education certification (elementary, middle, or high school focus will be considered)
- Extensive experience serving as a special education teacher and/or case manager
- Strong skills in IEP development, documentation, and virtual meeting facilitation
- Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively in a remote setting
- Commitment to ethical and compliant special education practices
