Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification, or eligibility to obtain one
- Prior experience with elementary-aged students, particularly in special education settings
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with families, staff, and multidisciplinary teams
- Adaptability and a positive, student-centered approach in diverse learning environments
Responsibilities Include:
- Providing direct instruction and classroom support in an IRR setting for students requiring special education services
- Developing, implementing, and monitoring Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborating with general education teachers, therapists, and administrators to ensure cohesive support for each student
- Documenting student progress and maintaining accurate records in compliance with district, state, and federal regulations
- Adapting instructional materials and teaching methods to meet the unique needs of each student
- Communicating regularly with families to update them on student progress and address concerns
