Qualifications & Experience
- Valid Special Education teaching certification/licensure (CO or eligibility for reciprocity)
- Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher in a school setting preferred
- Knowledge of individualized education plans (IEPs), progress monitoring, and data-driven instruction
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to differentiate instruction for diverse learning needs
- Genuine commitment to fostering an inclusive, growth-focused learning environment
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and tailored instruction to students with varying disabilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in collaboration with families and multidisciplinary teams
- Track and evaluate student progress, maintaining current and accurate documentation
- Partner with general educators to ensure student success across all subjects and settings
- Communicate regularly with parents, providing clear updates on achievements and goals
- Support positive behavioral interventions and provide social-emotional support as needed
- Contribute to team meetings, professional development, and school initiatives
