Bring your passion for supporting students with special needs to an elementary school in the North Denver area. We are seeking an experienced Special Education Teacher to work with affective needs students, serving grades K-5, in a contract position for the upcoming school year.
This assignment is based onsite and will have you working closely with a single school, providing consistency and building meaningful relationships with students and colleagues. The contract is set to begin as soon as possible and will last through October 2nd, offering 37.5 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction and support to students with affective needs.
- Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with families and school teams.
- Adapt curriculum and classroom environment for diverse learning and behavioral needs.
- Maintain detailed records and work within compliance guidelines.
- Communicate progress and strategies with parents, guardians, and staff.
Qualifications:
- Active Colorado Teaching License with Special Education Generalist Endorsement (Ages 5-21).
- Previous experience in a special education setting, particularly with affective needs populations.
- Strong ability to modify instruction and support behavioral interventions.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to complete and return the district contractor credentialing packet promptly.
