Desired Qualifications:
- Valid state Special Education teaching certification
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or a related field
- Previous experience working with students who have mild to moderate disabilities
- Strong communication skills for partnering with educators, families, and support staff
- Ability to create and adapt Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Familiarity with differentiated instruction and behavioral management techniques
- Collaborative mindset and commitment to fostering an inclusive classroom atmosphere
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement lesson plans that accommodate diverse learning styles and needs
- Develop, monitor, and update IEPs in accordance with state and federal guidelines
- Assess student progress and maintain accurate documentation
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to maximize student success
- Offer instructional support in both individual and small group settings
- Provide a positive, structured environment that encourages academic and social growth
- Utilize appropriate technology and materials to enhance the learning experience
