Make a difference as a Special Education Teacher supporting students at the middle school level in a dynamic, contract-based position. Located near Longmont, CO, this full-time opportunity (37.5 hours/week) involves direct, onsite classroom work with a resource caseload. Essential Qualifications:
- Holds, or is in the process of obtaining, a current Colorado Department of Education (CDE) license in Special Education (must have ACTIVE credentials or provide proof in application materials)
- At least one year of classroom experience in a special education setting
- Demonstrates flexibility and thrives when working as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team
- Committed to student-centered teaching and differentiated instruction
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized and small-group instruction to students with varying disabilities as a Resource Special Education Teacher
- Develop and implement IEPs, monitor progress, and adjust plans as needed to support student achievement
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to promote inclusion and academic success
- Maintain accurate records, support compliance with district and state regulations, and contribute positively to the school community
