Step into an immersive and impactful role supporting students with diverse learning needs in a welcoming, collaborative school community near Longmont, CO. This onsite contract position specializes in Significant Support Needs (SSN) and centers around creating tailored, effective educational experiences for students who benefit from additional assistance. You will work from August 20, 2026, to June 3, 2027, across a consistent four-day schedule (Tuesday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with Mondays off) for a total of 34 hours per week.
Key Qualifications:
- Active and valid CDE Special Education (SPED) licensure required
- Experience working with students who have significant support needs (SSN) strongly preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and adaptive classroom environment
- Effective at developing and implementing IEPs tailored to individual student goals
Primary Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver differentiated instruction to meet a wide range of learning abilities
- Develop, monitor, and adjust Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Communicate regularly with families, caregivers, and related service providers
- Adapt classroom strategies and materials to promote inclusive participation and academic growth
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and administration
- Track, evaluate, and report student progress, modifying strategies as needed
