- Excellent communication skills for interaction with students, staff, and families
- Empathy, patience, and creativity in adapting teaching methods to meet student needs
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction, intervention, and support to a small group of elementary students with moderate to intensive needs
- Design, implement, and regularly update IEPs tailored to each student's unique strengths and challenges
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure integrated, comprehensive support
- Track and document student progress, adjusting strategies as needed to maximize learning outcomes
- Maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student confidence and participation
