This part-time position (2 days per week) runs from ASAP through the end of the school year, with a focus on guiding students in grades K-3 who have specific learning disabilities, as well as providing services to one student with a traumatic brain injury (TBI).
Qualifications & Experience:
- Hold a valid Special Education Teaching credential (appropriate for Ohio)
- Demonstrated experience working with students in K-3 settings
- Expertise supporting children with specific learning disabilities (SLD)
- Experience working with students affected by traumatic brain injuries preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with staff and families
- Ability to adapt curriculum and instruction to individual student needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and small group instruction as outlined in IEPs
- Develop, implement, and review IEPs for students on your caseload
- Monitor and document student progress toward IEP goals
- Collaborate with general education teachers, school staff, and related service providers
- Maintain open, positive communication with families regarding student progress
- Foster an inclusive, nurturing classroom environment
