Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification/licensure in the state required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Strong knowledge of K-4 curriculum and evidence-based instructional strategies for reading and math.
- Proven experience or demonstrated ability working with SLD and DD student populations.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with classroom teachers, support staff, and families.
- Experience with IEP development, implementation, and regular progress monitoring.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver push-in and pull-out instruction tailored to individual learning goals in reading and math.
- Design engaging lessons aligned with student IEPs and grade-level expectations.
- Track student progress and adjust interventions based on data and outcomes.
- Collaborate with general education teachers and paraprofessionals to support student inclusion.
- Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging growth and independence.
