Step into a rewarding role supporting elementary students as a Special Education Teacher in a vibrant school environment. Working 40 hours each week, you'll champion student progress through both push-in and pull-out support, focusing on developing reading fluency, comprehension, and essential math skills.
In this position, you will serve an average caseload of 20 students, mainly encountering students diagnosed with Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD) and Developmental Delays (DD). Your expertise and dedication will foster growth and help students achieve their academic goals.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education
- Relevant Bachelor's degree or higher in Special Education or a closely related field
- Previous experience designing, implementing, and adapting IEPs for elementary-aged children
- Solid understanding of SLD and DD, especially as they relate to literacy and foundational math support
- Ability to collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to drive success
- Strong organization, documentation, and time management skills
