Special Education Teacher | Mchenry, Illinois

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Valid Professional Educator License (PEL)
- Learning Behavior Specialist 1 (LBS1) endorsement
- Previous teaching experience in a school setting preferred
- Strong grasp of current instructional strategies and educational methodologies
- Thorough understanding of child development theories and practices
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage compliant IEPs and BIPs
- Adapt curriculum and teaching style to accommodate diverse learning needs
- Collaborate with staff, families, and administrators
- Monitor and report student progress, adjusting strategies as needed
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment
