Qualifications & Experience:
- Current Ohio Special Education (SPED) Teaching Certification is required
- Experience teaching or supporting students in special education settings preferred
- Ability to adapt curriculum and instructional style to diverse learner needs
- Strong collaboration and communication skills for working with teachers, support staff, and families
- Positive, compassionate, and resourceful approach to teaching
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student
- Modify lessons and assessments to accommodate learning differences and abilities
- Foster an inclusive, nurturing classroom environment that encourages student growth
- Track and report student progress, maintaining accurate and confidential records
- Coordinate with general education teachers, support staff, and families for student success
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and ongoing professional development
This position averages 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, placing you at the heart of a vibrant elementary community.
