Desired Qualifications:
- Hold a Standard AZ Secondary Teaching License and a current K-12 Special Education certificate
- Possess an IVP Fingerprint Card
- Accessible within a 30-minute commute to Fairfax, Central, and Hayden areas
- Background supporting students with diverse needs (emotional disabilities, prosocial/self-regulation challenges, at-risk, English language learners, exceptional students)
- Strong understanding of federal, state, and district compliance related to special services documentation and programming
- Experience in self-contained, inclusion, life skills, or structured intensive support classrooms preferred
- Willingness to attend Essential Elements of Effective Instruction (E.E.E.I.) training if not already completed
- Commitment to being fully onsite—remote options are not available for this role
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in accordance with all mandated guidelines
- Provide targeted instruction in environments such as Inclusion/SUCCESS, Practical, CBT, or STRIVE classrooms
- Support transition, functional academics, and behavioral/social skill development
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, parents, and support staff to ensure student success
- Maintain thorough, compliant documentation and support district-wide student services initiatives
