Key Qualifications:
- Valid Minnesota Tier 3 or Tier 4 Special Education teaching license
- Specific endorsements required: ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) or DCD (Developmental Cognitive Disorder) for center-based ASD/DCD roles; EBD (Emotional Behavior Disorder), ASD, or DCD for SEL roles; ABS (Academic Behavior Strategist), EBD, ASD, or DCD for resource positions
- Minimum of two years’ experience teaching as a licensed special education teacher (other roles do not count toward this requirement)
- Strong understanding of individualized education programs (IEPs), classroom management, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction and support to students in center-based ASD/DCD, SEL, and resource settings, tailored to individual needs
- Assess student abilities, develop and implement IEPs, and monitor progress
- Collaborate with general educators, paraprofessionals, and related service providers to optimize learning
- Foster a supportive and inclusive environment that promotes student growth and self-advocacy
- Maintain detailed documentation and effective communication with parents and team members
