Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Current Special Education license with Physical and Health Disabilities (P/HD) endorsement
- Experience working with K-12 students in special education settings
- Expertise in adapting curriculum, implementing assistive technology, and optimizing classroom accessibility
- Strong knowledge of functional evaluation, individualized education plan (IEP) development, and ongoing progress monitoring
- Proven track record of effective collaboration with occupational therapists, physical therapists, and general education staff
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Willingness to work exclusively on-site throughout the contract term
Responsibilities:
- Consult with educators regarding curriculum modifications and accessible instructional strategies
- Evaluate student needs through comprehensive assessments and develop individualized education plans
- Facilitate the use of assistive technology to enhance student participation and success
- Monitor and document student progress, ensuring due process compliance
- Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings to develop holistic support plans
- Serve as a resource for staff on accessibility and adaptation best practices
