Special Education Teacher in Minneapolis, MN

Desired Qualifications:
- Currently hold (or eligible for) a valid Tier 4 Early Childhood Special Education license
- Previous experience working with early childhood or preschool student populations, especially those with special needs
- Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Ability to work collaboratively with paraprofessionals, therapists, families, and administrative staff
- Excellent communication, patience, and adaptability
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver individualized lesson plans rooted in evidence-based practices
- Assess student abilities and progress, documenting findings and updating IEPs as needed
- Foster a welcoming environment that supports each child’s learning, social-emotional development, and independence
- Partner with families and allied professionals to develop and adapt instructional and behavioral strategies
- Maintain a safe, orderly, and nurturing classroom
