Special Education Teacher in Monument, CO

Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid special education teaching license or eligibility in the state
- Experience working with students with mild to moderate disabilities preferred
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Proactive, positive, and flexible approach to teaching and learning
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and differentiated instruction to students with special needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff to facilitate student success
- Create and maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment
- Monitor and document student progress, adjust instruction as needed, and maintain compliance with all IEP requirements
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share progress and foster a strong home-school connection
- Participate in school-wide activities, professional development, and interdisciplinary meetings
