Special Education Teacher
Special Education Teacher – Nerstrand, MN
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join a school team in Nerstrand, Minnesota for the remainder of the 2026–2027 school year. This is a full-time opportunity supporting a smaller caseload in a collaborative school environment.
Position Details:
Location: Nerstrand, MN
Assignment: ASAP – June 3, 2027
Schedule: Full-Time | 35 hours/week
Caseload: Approximately 10–13 students
Grade Level: To be determined based on school placement
Responsibilities:
Provide specialized instruction and individualized support to students with diverse learning needs
Develop and implement appropriate instructional strategies and accommodations
Support students in meeting their IEP goals and monitor progress
Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, families, and school staff
Participate in IEP meetings, progress monitoring, and other special education responsibilities
Maintain a positive, structured, and inclusive learning environment
Qualifications:
Valid Minnesota Special Education teaching license
Previous school-based special education experience preferred
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Ability to support students with a variety of academic, behavioral, and learning needs
