Each classroom includes the support of 2-3 paraeducators, as well as access to supervisors, BCBAs, and Social Workers, ensuring a robust network to help you create the best educational experience possible.
Qualifications & Experience Desired:
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education
- Experience working in K-12, inclusion, or sub separate settings
- Strong understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Expertise in ASD or social-emotional support (highly valued for sub separate roles)
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver effective instruction to support diverse learners in accordance with IEPs
- Create an inclusive and welcoming classroom culture
- Collaborate with paras, BCBAs, social workers, and supervisors
- Adapt instructional strategies to meet a variety of student needs
- Collect data and track student progress, maintaining accurate records
