As a valued member of the special education team, you will:
Qualifications:
- Hold a valid Oregon teaching certificate for Special Education.
- Demonstrate experience or interest in working with elementary-aged students.
- Exhibit strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Thrive in a flexible, collaborative setting with students and staff.
- Adapt instructional strategies to meet a broad range of student needs.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student goals.
- Provide direct instruction and manage a classroom of elementary students with varying levels of need.
- Work closely with paraprofessionals and general education staff to ensure students receive comprehensive support.
- Track student progress, maintaining accurate documentation and collaborating in meetings.
- Communicate regularly with families and school staff to support student success and well-being.
