Now Hiring: 8 Special Education Teachers for the 2026–2027 School Year
We are seeking experienced and dedicated Special Education Teachers to support students across multiple elementary school programs for the 2026–2027 school year. These full-time positions serve students in Center-Based Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Developmental Cognitive Disability (DCD), Social Emotional Learning (SEL), and Resource settings.
We are looking for licensed Minnesota Special Education Teachers who are passionate about supporting diverse learners and helping students achieve academic, behavioral, social, and functional success.
Position Details
- Position Title: Special Education Teacher
- Location: Multiple Elementary Schools in Osseo, Minnesota
- Start Date: September 8, 2026
- End Date: June 10, 2027
- Hours: 37.5 hours per week
- Employment Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities
As a Special Education Teacher, you will:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Deliver specially designed instruction aligned with student goals
- Support students with autism, developmental disabilities, emotional and behavioral needs, and learning differences
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families
- Monitor student progress and maintain compliance documentation
- Utilize evidence-based instructional and behavioral interventions
- Differentiate instruction to meet individual student needs
- Foster inclusive and supportive learning environments
- Participate in IEP meetings, team meetings, and professional development activities
Experience
Required:
- Minimum of two (2) years of Special Education teaching experience
- Experience must be as a licensed Special Education Teacher
Please Note: The following do not count toward the required two years of experience:
- General Education Teaching
- Paraprofessional Experience
- Substitute Teaching Experience
Licensure Requirements
Candidates must possess:
- A valid Minnesota Tier 3 or Tier 4 Special Education Teaching License
- Accepted licensure areas include: ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder), DCD (Developmental Cognitive Disability), EBD (Emotional Behavioral Disorders), ABS (Academic Behavior Strategist)
Licensure requirements vary by assignment as outlined above.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in center-based special education programs
- Strong knowledge of IEP development and compliance
- Experience supporting students with autism spectrum disorders
- Behavioral intervention and classroom management expertise
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Familiarity with Minnesota special education standards and best practices

Compensation for this position ranges from $25.00 to $39.00. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals.
