Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Prior experience in a school setting, preferably with students requiring individualized support
- Knowledge of IEPs and compliance procedures
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies for a variety of learning styles
- Passion for advocating for students’ academic and emotional wellbeing
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instruction in alignment with IEP goals
- Assess student progress and adjust interventions as necessary
- Work closely with general education teachers, support staff, and families
- Foster an inclusive and positive classroom atmosphere
- Maintain detailed and confidential records of student achievement
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and ongoing professional development
