Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Current Arizona Special Education Teacher Certification
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Strong understanding of federal, state, and district special education requirements
- Experience delivering direct instruction and managing case services for students on IEPs
- Effective communication skills with students, parents, and multidisciplinary staff
- Background in developing and implementing behavior intervention plans and accommodations
Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction based on students’ individual education plans (IEPs)
- Oversee case management to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements
- Develop and carry out a full continuum of special education services
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for all assigned students
- Partner with school staff to implement accommodations and modifications in the classroom
- Support the RtI process and consult on interventions
- Provide a safe, supportive learning environment for all students
- Foster positive, ongoing relationships with parents and guardians
- Contribute behavior management and intervention plan implementation
- Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned
