You’ll have the unique opportunity to make a difference in students’ lives, providing tailored educational strategies and hands-on support. The role requires 35-40 hours per week, with an immediate start date.
Desired Background and Experience:
- Active Instructional I or II certification in K-12 Special Education for PA is strongly preferred
- Emergency certified applicants will be considered if enrolled in a certification program or set to take the praxis, and must have at least two years of experience
- Demonstrated proficiency in writing and case-managing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Previous experience working with elementary and/or middle school special education needs
- Adaptable, organized, and confident managing floating assignments
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct special education instruction and support to K-6 students in both Emotional Support and Learning Support settings
- Develop and implement IEPs, collaborating closely with staff and families
- Utilize adaptive strategies to meet diverse academic and emotional needs
- Monitor student progress and adjust plans as necessary for optimal growth
- Maintain thorough documentation and open communication with all stakeholders
