Position Overview
We are seeking a qualified Special Education Teacher Moderate/Severe (Open to Mod/Severe) to support an elementary student in a school-based setting in Phoenix, AZ. This is a full-time, in-person role.
Assignment Details
- Caseload: Self- Contained
- 37.5 hours a week
3 Openings (2 Preschool, 1 Cross-Ca)
- 1 teacher and 2 assistants in classroom
- K-8 caseload is 10-13
- Preschool caseload is 18-20 (2 half day classes, 4 days a week)
- Opportunity to build consistency and long-term impact with the student
- Support provided in a structured school environment
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver specialized instruction aligned with IEP goals
- Provide individualized support tailored to student needs
- Implement accommodations, modifications, and behavior strategies
- Collaborate with school staff, therapists, and support teams
- Track progress and maintain required documentation
Qualifications
- Active AZ Mild/Mod or Mod/Severe licensure
- Experience working with mod/severe populations preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to provide consistent, student-centered support

- $33-43/hour depending on experience, credentialing and caseload
