Position Details:
- Contract runs from August 7, 2026, through May 31, 2027, with additional summer hours on a flexible, reduced schedule
- Full-time hours: Monday-Thursday, 7:45 am – 3:45 pm (32 hours per week)
- Elementary caseload of 3-4 students for tailored support
Your qualifications and experience:
- Current certification as a Special Education Teacher
- Experience working with elementary-aged students preferred
- Ability to adapt instruction to meet diverse learning needs
- Solid communication and collaboration skills for working with students, families, and school staff
- Dedication to fostering a positive, inclusive classroom environment
- Strong organizational and documentation abilities
Key responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) for each student
- Collaborate effectively with classroom teachers, therapists, and families to support student achievement and inclusion
- Assess and document student progress, adjusting goals and strategies as needed
- Create a safe, supportive environment that encourages student engagement and growth
- Maintain compliance with all special education policies, timelines, and documentation requirements
