Special Education Teacher - Saratoga, CA

Key Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current and valid Extensive Support Needs (or Moderate-Severe) teaching credential required
- Demonstrated experience working in Special Education, particularly with moderate to severe populations
- Familiarity with Special Day Classroom structures and differentiated instruction
- Strong collaborative skills to partner with other educators, staff, and families
- Excellent organization, classroom management, and communication abilities
What You’ll Do:
- Deliver full-time instruction (7.5 hours per day) covering two leaves: September to December (2nd & 3rd grade, 6 students, 8:00am start) and January through end of school year (middle school, 7 students, 8:10am start)
- Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and track student progress toward goals
- Modify curriculum and classroom activities to ensure accessibility and engagement for all learners
- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom climate tailored to each student's unique needs
- Collaborate with team members, including paraprofessionals, service providers, and families, to support student success
- Maintain thorough records and participate in IEP meetings as required
