Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Hold a valid Extensive Support Needs Credential (Moderate-Severe)
- Previous experience teaching in special education settings, with a focus on moderate-severe needs
- Ability to work full time, 7.5 hours/day
- Prepared to work a full school year contract, covering two separate leaves
- Strong organizational skills and enthusiasm for collaborative work
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead instruction in Special Day Classrooms:
- Fall: Teach 2nd & 3rd graders (6 students, start time 8:00am)
- Spring: Educate middle-grade students (7 students, start time 8:10am)
- Develop and implement IEPs
- Collaborate with other staff and families to support student development
- Foster an inclusive, supportive learning environment
