Special Education Teacher – Behavioral Health Program
Location: NuView Academy
Assignment Dates: August 31, 2026 – June 22, 2027
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join the Behavioral Health Program at NuView Academy for the 2026–2027 school year. This is a rewarding opportunity to support high school students with unique behavioral and educational needs in a structured, collaborative environment.
Position Overview
The Special Education Teacher will provide individualized instruction, develop and implement IEPs, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to help students achieve academic, behavioral, and social-emotional success.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized instruction to high school students in a behavioral health setting
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with related service providers, administrators, and families
- Maintain compliance with state and federal special education regulations
- Collect and analyze student data to monitor progress and inform instruction
- Foster a safe, structured, and supportive classroom environment
- Participate in IEP meetings, evaluations, and multidisciplinary team collaboration

Qualifications
- Valid Teaching Certificate with the appropriate Teacher of the Handicapped (TOH) Certification (required)
- Experience working with students with behavioral and emotional needs preferred
- Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and compliance
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills
- Commitment to creating a positive and supportive learning environment

Compensation for this position ranges from $25.97 to $47.97. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals.
