Special Education Teacher in Portsmouth, NH

Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification for K-12 (or eligibility to obtain)
- Experience working with students with varying exceptionalities (ASD, learning disabilities, behavioral needs, life skills)
- Comfort with differentiated instruction and development of individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Willingness to provide both pull-out and push-in support
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with staff, students, and families
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver instruction, interventions, and modifications tailored for each student’s unique learning needs
- Develop and implement IEPs, tracking student progress and adjusting teaching strategies accordingly
- Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers
- Maintain accurate documentation and meet compliance requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings and parent conferences as needed
