Step into a valued role supporting elementary students as a long-term Special Education Teacher substitute this fall. This full-time contract position spans from mid-September through December, covering a maternity leave within a third-grade classroom. Located near Portsmouth, RI, you’ll work Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm, providing impactful instruction and individualized support for young learners.

- Active Rhode Island Special Education Teacher Certification

Key responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction to meet students’ Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)

- Partner with general education teachers and paraprofessionals for cohesive support
- Monitor, assess, and document student progress regularly
- Communicate proactively with caregivers and school staff
- Uphold all district, state, and federal regulations regarding special education
