Special Education Teacher - Portsmouth, Rhode Island

Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Rhode Island Special Education Teacher Certification (required)
- Experience teaching or supporting elementary-age students, especially in special education settings
- Ability to adapt instruction and materials for individualized needs
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- A passion for helping children succeed in an inclusive learning community
Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging instruction to a third-grade special education caseload
- Implement IEPs and monitor student progress
- Motivate students through tailored educational strategies and interventions
- Partner closely with classroom and school-wide staff for holistic student support
- Maintain a positive, respectful classroom environment
- Complete all required district onboarding, background clearances, and fingerprinting
