Special Education Teacher - Providence, RI

Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or related field
- Valid certification as a Special Education Teacher
- Experience or practicum in special education settings preferred
- Strong ability to create inclusive, differentiated lessons for varying needs
- Excellent communication skills with students, staff, and families
- Commitment to professional development and continuous learning
Responsibilities:
- Develop, adapt, and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to address each student’s unique learning needs
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to foster a positive learning environment
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Provide direct instruction, interventions, and modifications to support academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth
- Participate in IEP meetings, team planning, and parent conferences as an active advocate for students
