Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid teaching license with a Special Education endorsement (required)
- Experience working with elementary-aged children, especially K-4
- Familiarity with social/emotional disabilities and autism spectrum
- Ability to individualize instruction in self-contained and resource settings
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Lead a self-contained classroom (K-2, 8 students) with two paraprofessionals for support
- Address the academic and emotional needs of students with social/emotional disabilities and autism
- Provide resource instruction to 3rd-4th graders
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
