Position Details:
- Contract period: August 3rd, 2026 – May 21st, 2027, with additional pre/post planning days likely
- Work closely with a collaborative team dedicated to supporting both staff and student success
- Provide instruction and accommodation within an inclusion setting
- Maintain effective communication with students, staff, and families
- Implement and adapt Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) to meet student goals
- Cultivate a positive and supportive classroom culture
To excel in this role, the following qualifications are desired:
- Must hold a valid GaPSC Educator Certificate with the Special Education General Curriculum endorsement
- Demonstrated experience as a Special Education Teacher, preferably within inclusive classrooms
- Strong collaborative and communication skills to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team
- Passion for creating a supportive and structured learning environment
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet individual student needs
