Your expertise in special education will ensure every student receives the personalized support they deserve. With a 35-hour workweek, you’ll collaborate with staff and families, play a vital role in IEP development, and implement individualized accommodations to foster growth in both academic and behavioral areas.
Requirements:
- Valid California CTC certification in Mild to Moderate Special Education (required)
- Experience serving as a Special Education Teacher in elementary settings
- Ability to manage and support a varied caseload of TK-6th grade students
- Knowledge of developing and executing IEPs, including progress monitoring and compliance documentation
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Commitment to creating an inclusive, supportive learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct RSP instruction and support tailored to individual student needs
- Develop, implement, and maintain IEPs in collaboration with school teams and families
- Document progress and maintain records in adherence to state and district regulations
- Coordinate with general education teachers to adapt curriculum and promote student success
- Participate in staff meetings, parent conferences, and professional development as needed
