A rewarding contract opportunity is available for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support students in an inclusive classroom setting. You’ll play a crucial role working collaboratively with two experienced teams, supporting approximately 8–9 students and making a significant impact throughout the school year.
This position begins on August 3rd, 2026, and continues through May 21st, 2027, with the likelihood of additional pre- and post-planning days to ensure a smooth transition for students and staff. The full-time schedule consists of 37.5 hours per week—offering structure and stability as you build meaningful relationships with colleagues and students.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Active GaPSC Teaching Educator Certification with a Special Education General Curriculum endorsement required
- Experience supporting diverse learners in inclusion settings preferred
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Proven ability to foster positive, individualized learning environments
- Passion for advocating for students with unique needs and differing abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality instruction and support to a small caseload of students in an inclusive environment
- Develop and implement differentiated lessons aligned with IEP goals
- Work closely with general education teachers and special education teams to ensure all students’ needs are met
- Participate in ongoing planning, professional development, and IEP meetings
- Foster an encouraging classroom climate that promotes growth and achievement
