You’ll work full-time with two collaborative teams, providing instruction and guidance to a small caseload of 8–9 students. This contract position is based in a welcoming elementary school community and runs from August 3rd, 2026 through May 21st, 2027, with a strong possibility of a few extra days for pre- and post-planning.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid GaPSC Teaching Educator Certification with Special Education General Curriculum endorsement
- Experience in special education or inclusive classroom environments preferred
- Strong understanding of differentiated instruction and individualized support plans
- Proven ability to collaborate with multiple professionals, including general education teachers and support staff
- Outstanding classroom management and organizational skills
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, standards-based instruction in an inclusion setting, adapting lessons to meet varied learning needs
- Manage, monitor, and document student Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and accommodations
- Foster a supportive, inclusive atmosphere that encourages student participation and growth
- Collaborate actively with grade-level and SPED teams for lesson planning and strategy implementation
- Maintain timely and effective communication with families and staff regarding student progress and needs
