Special Education Teacher | Rossville, Georgia
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting the youngest learners within a Special Education Pre-K program. Based near Rossville, GA, this full-time position runs from August 4th, 2026, through May 21st, 2027. You’ll play a vital role in helping children aged 3–5 reach their fullest potential through a compassionate, hands-on approach tailored to their individual needs.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid GaPSC Teaching Certificate with both Special and General Education Endorsements for Pre-K age groups
- Experience working as a Special Education Teacher or Paraprofessional with children in early childhood settings
- Understanding of Pre-K behavioral needs, including working with non-verbal or low-verbal students
- Comfortable assisting with feeding, toileting, and diapering for Pre-K students
- Passion for creating a nurturing, inclusive environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized instruction and support to Pre-K students with diverse needs
- Assist students during feeding times and facilitate toilet training and diaper changes as needed
- Implement behavior support strategies tailored to each child
- Foster communication and social development, including alternative communication methods for non-verbal students
- Collaborate closely with paraprofessionals, therapists, and families to ensure holistic support
- Maintain accurate records and participate in IEP meetings and progress reviews
