We're seeking an enthusiastic Special Education Teacher for a full-time contract role, running from August 17 through May 26, 2027. This position serves a self-contained autism classroom (K-5) with 8 incredible students supported by 3 experienced paraprofessionals and a robust team of related service staff.

Qualifications/Requirements:
- Valid LBS1 endorsement and Professional Educator License (PEL) required
- Previous experience in self-contained or autism support classrooms preferred
- Proven skill in collaborating with paraprofessionals and related service staff
- Strong planning, organizational, and communication abilities
- Commitment to fostering student independence and academic/social growth
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction to elementary-aged students with autism
- Develop and execute individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Work in close partnership with paraprofessionals, therapists, and families
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed
- Create a safe, structured, and nurturing classroom culture
