Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid special education teaching license/certification (or eligibility to obtain)
- Experience working with students with disabilities in a school setting
- Deep understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Strong collaboration skills with families, paraprofessionals, and interdisciplinary teams
- Adaptability, patience, and enthusiasm for teaching children with varying learning needs
- Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
Core Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver instruction aligned with IEPs and student abilities
- Modify curriculum and teaching methods to accommodate unique learning needs
- Monitor academic and behavioral progress and update documentation accordingly
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Attend team meetings, parent conferences, and professional development sessions
- Communicate regularly with families to build partnerships for student success
