Available assignments:
- BridgeView: Setting 4 program for middle school students (grades 6–8) with significant disabilities, including developmental cognitive delays; some students use wheelchairs and demonstrate mild behavioral needs.
- Farnsworth Lower: Setting 3 program serving elementary students (caseload 6–9) primarily identified as ASD or DCD.
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teacher license required
- Experience working with students with developmental cognitive delays, ASD, and/or physical disabilities
- Comfortable supporting students with assistive devices and managing various behavioral needs
- Compassion, flexibility, and strong communication skills
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Foster a supportive, inclusive classroom environment
- Adapt instructional strategies to meet diverse needs
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and families
- Complete reports, maintain records, and ensure compliance
