Excellent opportunity for experienced Special Education Teachers specializing in mild to moderate needs! This contract position is based in the vibrant area near San Francisco, CA, with an immediate start date and runs through the end of the school year. You’ll work in a supportive educational environment, providing vital resource support to middle school students.
This role focuses on delivering individualized support to two Middle School Resource Specialist Program (RSP) caseloads. Candidates must have an active California mild/moderate credential and a passion for making a meaningful impact with students.
Key Qualifications:
- Active California Teaching Credential with mild/moderate Special Education authorization required
- Previous experience with middle school RSP or related Special Education environments preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP processes, progress monitoring, and documentation
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and families
- Excellent communication and organization skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction to students with mild to moderate learning differences within resource and general education settings
- Develop and implement effective, student-centered IEPs; monitor and track progress toward goals
- Modify curriculum and support accommodations to maximize student access and success
- Provide consultation and support to general education teachers and paraprofessionals
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines
