Special Education Teacher in San Jose, CA

Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teaching credential (CA or eligible for transfer)
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field
- Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred
- Knowledge of current teaching methods and IEP process
- Strong communication and organizational abilities
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive classroom
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students
- Adapt and deliver curriculum to meet varied learning styles and abilities
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families
- Maintain accurate records and progress reports
- Create a safe, nurturing classroom environment that encourages student growth
- Participate in IEP meetings and ongoing professional development
- Utilize classroom technology and specialized resources effectively
