Contract Special Education Teacher Needed
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join a school district in the San Jose area for the current school year. This is a contract opportunity supporting students with disabilities while working collaboratively with teachers, administrators, families, and related service providers.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement individualized instruction based on student IEPs
Provide specialized instruction and accommodations to students with disabilities
Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and school administration
Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student goals and progress monitoring
Maintain a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
Communicate effectively with families and school staff
Qualifications
Valid Mild/Mod or Mod/Severe Education Specialist teaching certification/licensure
Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field
Previous school-based experience preferred
Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
