Special Education Teacher - San Mateo, California
Seeking passionate special education professionals to support students across multiple innovative school campuses in Palo Alto and San Jose. As a valued member of the educational team, you will work in classroom settings with a 1:12 teacher-to-student ratio, implementing behavioral and instructional strategies tailored to students’ needs. You’ll find a collaborative atmosphere where your skill set is respected and enhanced—behavioral experience is required, and you’ll receive additional training in CPI techniques. Qualifications:
- Active California Mild/Moderate Education Specialist (M/M SPED) Credential required
- Experience supporting positive student behavior in special education settings
- Openness to CPI training (provided by the school)

- Willingness to work with mild/moderate K-12 caseloads
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver individualized instruction for students with mild/moderate special needs
- Collaborate with staff, therapists, and families to support each child's IEP goals
- Implement behavior intervention plans and promote a positive classroom environment
- Focus on students’ social-emotional growth alongside academic achievement
- Maintain detailed records and contribute to ongoing student assessments
