Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid and current Minnesota special education teaching license (required)
- Previous experience in K-12 settings strongly preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with educators, families, and support staff
- Familiarity with IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Ability to adapt instruction and classroom management strategies for diverse student populations
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and best practices in special education
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group instruction to students across elementary, middle, and high school levels
- Develop, review, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to ensure tailored support
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to maximize student success
- Utilize assessment data to monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed
- Provide a nurturing, structured classroom environment that encourages positive behavior and social-emotional development
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations for special education
- Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development as required
