Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teaching Certificate
- Experience working with students in elementary grades, particularly 2nd and 3rd grade
- Strong understanding of effective needs and differentiated instruction
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills with staff, students, and families
- Adaptability and problem-solving mindset to address diverse student needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver lessons tailored to students’ individual learning requirements
- Monitor, document, and report on student progress toward IEP goals
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to best support each child’s development
- Utilize evidence-based strategies to create an inclusive and positive classroom environment
- Modify curriculum as necessary to align with students’ abilities and state standards
- Foster social, emotional, and academic growth through personalized interventions
